Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards. This position requires a strong understanding of quality assurance processes, as well as the ability to analyse data and implement effective solutions to enhance product quality.
Responsibilities
· Ensure company maintains compliance with ISO 9001 quality management standards.
· Lead BSI audits and conduct internal audits in accordance with our audit schedule.
· Support supplier quality efforts by working with Purchasing to conduct supplier audits.
· Lead root cause analysis (RCA) activities for internal and external quality issues.
· Lead corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to ensure timely and effective resolution of issues.
· Collaborate with Engineering and Production teams to create and maintain SOPs and work instructions.
· Provide guidance to other BAMUK UK companies on quality-related matters and shared best practices.
· Lead and assist the Quality Inspector with PPAPs, First Article Inspections, and customer quality requirements.
· Ensure process stability during New Product Introduction (NPI) projects.

· Timely closure of NCRs and CAPAs

· Process stability on existing & NPI Products
Skills & Prior Experience (Qualifications)
· Minimum 3 years' experience in quality engineering, ideally within a metal manufacturing environment
· Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 systems
· Internal or lead auditor training preferred
· Good communication skills
· Comfortable with engineering drawings and GD&T
· Experience with quality tools: 8D, Root Cause Analysis, SPC, FMEA
· Ability to work across teams and communicate clearly with production, Engineering, suppliers, and customers
· Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve.
· Six Sigma or Lean certification desirable but not essential
