Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer - GL14, Cinderford
Salary: £34,000 plus SA, Permanent basis, Rotating AM, PM and Nights. Free parking, company pension.
A leading Manufacturing Company is looking to recruit a Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer on a permanent basis due to continued growth in the business.
Responsibilities
* Carrying out any electrical/mechanical remedial work on production machinery to achieve optimum machine utilisation's
* Liaising with Shift leaders and operators to prioritise jobs and achieve efficient repairs with as little interruption to production as possible
* Ensuring all factory essential services are maintained, i.e., electrical supplies, compressed air, nitrogen, water, effluent systems
* Ensuring at all times that all running machinery is kept in a safe condition
* Logging on the pc-based maintenance system, full details of all work carried out, thereby helping to maintain the company's machine historical records
* Carrying out PAT testing where required to ensure company equipment is maintained in a safe condition
* Carrying out PM work on Payoff Stands and other equipment as requested
* Carrying out project/development work as requested
* Notifying the Engineering Coordinator of any issues that may need further attention
Qualifications
* Previous experience within a similar role
* Ideally a time-served apprenticeship
* Mechanical and Electrical competence
* Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a small team
