The Role:The Deputy Nursery Manager will play a critical role in the successful operation of our world-class nursery.
This role will be responsible for supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the nursery, ensuring colleagues and children are thriving.
Key Deliverables:
Leadership & StrategySupport the Nursery Manager in developing and leading the team ensuring they are performing at their very best each and every dayEncourage colleague development and fostering a culture of collaboration, through mentoring, training and performance managementResponsible for ensuring all colleagues are up to date with mandatory trainingResponsible for running and leading team meetings designed to inspire and provide clear communication to all colleaguesSupport with providing leadership on educational programmes and curriculum including alignment of the EYFSSupport in recruiting and onboarding all new colleagues, ensuring colleagues become advocates of My Ohana from their first day
Operational ExcellenceSupport the Nursery Manager on the ongoing delivery to ensure the highest standards of childcare and operational efficiency across the nurserySupport with overseeing the curriculum implementation and alignment of the EYFSManagement of colleague rotas; ensuring correct colleague levels in line with ratiosImplement and maintain H&S and hygiene standards across the nurseryManagement of accurate record keeping; including attendance registers, accident reports and children's development recordsFinancial OversightSupport with overseeing fee collection, invoicing and payment trackingSupport with the management of the nursery budgetManage the procurement of resources and suppliersStakeholder EngagementResponsible for building strong long-standing relationships with parents and carers to ensure they feel informed, valued and involvedCulture ChampionDriving a positive and collaborative work environmentResponsible for colleague engagement, performance management and personal development, ensuring alignment with our company ethos and valuesBe an role model to all colleaguesBeing a proud and enthusiastic colleague
What you'll need to succeed:A passion and dedication to providing world-class care to childrenPrevious experience xkzlckt as a deputy manager or experienced room leaderTo hold a full and relevant early years qualification of Level 3 or aboveStrong people management and leadership skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsConfidence with technology including Microsoft suite, various programmes and software used in the nursery settingStrong problem solving and organisational skillsStrong desire to learn & grow within the nursery setting
