Position: Head Chef

Key Responsibilities:
* Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of chefs and kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
* Quality Control: Oversee the preparation and presentation of all menu items ensuring they meet our quality standards.
* Inventory Management: Manage inventory and sourcing of ingredients, maintaining cost efficiency and minimizing waste.
* Collaboration: Work closely with the executive chef and other kitchen staff to ensure seamless kitchen operations and coordination.
* Training: Provide training and development for the kitchen team members, ensuring consistent execution of recipes and techniques.
* Health & Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment.
What We're Looking For:
* Proven experience as a Head chef or Sous Chef in a restaurant or hotel.
* a strong passion for Asian and Vietnamese food.
* In-depth knowledge of wok cookery, Asian ingredients, and flavour combinations.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
* A keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence.
* Culinary degree or equivalent experience
Other Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items following established recipes and quality standards
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, and place orders as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations at all times
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new items that meet customer preferences
- Assist in training junior kitchen staff members
* Uphold a positive and professional demeanour when interacting with colleagues and customers
Desirable Experience:
- Proven experience as a head chef or similar role in a restaurant setting
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques,
* Familiarity with food production processes, kitchen operations, and food safety standards
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality output
* Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
