Community Manager ┃ Permanent Role ┃ Fully Remote ┃ Support and Grow the Next Generation of Musicians
About Us
DK Music Group is at the forefront of empowering musicians, with DKMBA (DK Music Business Academy) as one of our flagship platforms. Founded by Damian Keyes, former director of The Brighton Institute of Modern Music, DKMBA offers online courses, resources, and an engaged community for independent artists navigating today’s music industry.
As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a proactive and people-oriented Community Manager to support the smooth running of the academy, assist in educational content planning, and ensure our members are supported and engaged every step of the way.
Role Overview
As the Community Manager, your role is to be the glue that holds the academy together — supporting day-to-day tasks, building a strong sense of community, and ensuring both our internal team and members are looked after. You'll work closely with our Head of Academy and upper management, providing key assistance, helping implement new ideas, and making sure the member experience is seamless.
This is an ideal role for someone organised, kind, and passionate about music, education, and building real connections online.
Key Responsibilities
Community Management & Engagement
* Oversee the DKMBA online community (Facebook Group and Kajabi) to support members, approve posts, and foster engagement.
* Share regular updates, competitions, prompts, and conversation starters.
* Monitor and respond to member questions and feedback with warmth and professionalism.
* Organise and host occasional community check-ins or engagement events (e.g. live Q&As, giveaways).
Content & Course Support
* Assist with course development by helping structure lesson materials, uploading content, and updating our learning platform.
* Collaborate with Damian Keyes and the Head of Academy on new educational initiatives, feedback gathering, and launch prep.
* Track course performance and assist with refining member learning journeys.
Admin & Operations
* Manage inbox tasks including cancellations, playlist requests, and support tickets.
* Keep internal systems updated including course data, payments, member churn, and basic reporting.
* Assist in setting up monthly live sessions, including reminders, tech support, and post-session follow-ups.
Personal & Team Support
* Provide assistance to senior leadership and team members with scheduling, resource organisation, and internal communication.
* Support Damian with calendar reminders, content uploads, and occasional personal admin related to the academy.
* Contribute to ongoing improvements and systems documentation to ensure consistency and learning from past launches.
What We’re Looking For
* A warm, people-focused communicator who loves helping others.
* Organised, reliable, and comfortable juggling multiple small projects.
* Someone who takes initiative and thinks proactively about improving systems.
* Good tech literacy (familiarity with platforms like Kajabi, Canva, Google Drive, etc.)
* A love of music and understanding of the challenges faced by independent musicians.
* Experience in a customer support, admin, education, or community role preferred.
Location & Salary
This is a fully remote position based in the UK.
Salary: £25,000 per annum (Full-Time, Permanent)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday (10am–6pm GMT, flexible within reason)
Perks & Benefits
* Work-from-home with flexible hours
* Company pension scheme
* Bonus potential based on growth
* A fun, supportive team invested in your development
* The chance to contribute meaningfully to musicians’ careers around the world
