Senior Planner £65k - £75k Car Allowance Benefits Package North West The Role: Due to project wins and expected future orderbook, my client is looking to appoint a Planner to work as part of their regional set-up to play a key role on high profile builds predominantly in the North West. The ideal candidate will have experience with Tier 1 contractors working on multi storey RC/Steel framed build. The Client: A well respected cash rich Tier 1 Main Contractor that operate throughout the UK on a range of major projects across varied sectors: High-Rise Living, Commercial, Healthcare, Student Accommodation, Education etc. who work on projects from up to £100m. You: They are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Construction Planner to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in planning and coordinating construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget. Key Responsibilities: • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and work programs • Monitor and report on project progress against plans and schedules • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies • Prepare progress reports and present to senior management and clients • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations • Utilize project management software and tools for effective planning • Assist in the preparation of tender documents and proposals Requirements: • Proven experience as a Construction Planner or similar role • In-depth knowledge of construction processes, methods, and materials • Proficiency in planning software such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines • Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field • Membership in relevant professional bodies (e.g., CIOB, APM) is advantageous The company are looking for the right candidate who is looking to either progress their career or cement their position with a fantastic employer on some of the highest profile builds in the region.
