Job Purpose
You'll be the main point of contact for commercial and finance tasks on-site. Your role is to make sure everything runs smoothly by handling queries, managing budgets, monitoring costs, and supporting the team. You'll also help improve processes and keep everything compliant with company policies.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service:
Communicate professionally with clients and colleagues to resolve issues quickly.
Finance Tasks:
Submit monthly applications and ensure payments are processed.
Prepare budgets and reports, check for errors, and suggest changes.
Track costs (labour, materials, subcontractors) and keep spending under control.
Contract Management:
Attend client meetings as the commercial representative.
Record and price any contract changes.
Maintain risk and fraud registers.
Cost Control:
Identify ways to save money and improve profit margins.
Systems & Records: Keep accurate records in systems like Maximo and Coupa.
Team Support:
Share knowledge, help junior staff, and contribute ideas for improvement.
What You Need
Experience in a fast-paced, target-driven role.
Strong planning and organisational skills.
Good communication and influencing skills.
Confidence in decision-making and problem-solving.
Commercial awareness and good numeracy.
IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Ability to stay calm under pressure and adapt to change.
Attention to detail and empathy when dealing with customers.
