Data Analyst - Southampton - £30,000 - £45,000 per annum.
VIQU has partnered with a fast-growing SaaS and data analytics company that is looking to expand its team by hiring a geospatial data analyst. The ideal candidate will have experience modeling physical objects, extensive knowledge of Python (or similar languages), and the ability to process large datasets.
This position requires onsite presence twice a week at their Southampton office. You will join a team of high achievers working within a rapidly emerging industry with exposure to various technologies.
Job Duties of the Data Analyst
1. Run and develop simulations and experiments, utilizing scripting languages (Python).
2. Apply a range of data analysis techniques.
3. Extract and transform data using SQL.
4. Ensure data validity, communicate research internally, and assist in integrating research into the analytics team.
5. Manage end-to-end research projects using scientific processes.
6. Stay updated with relevant industry research.
Requirements for the Geospatial Data Analyst
1. Experience with data analytic techniques applied to real-world objects.
2. At least one year of professional experience using Python/PySpark/Pandas.
3. Experience working with databases and data lakes (SQL).
4. Strong understanding of data manipulation, analysis, and processing.
5. Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
