The SEN Teaching Assistant Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Early Years Teaching Assistant to work with young students with diverse and complex needs (SLD). Your role will involve providing one-on-one support, helping students engage with their learning, and developing their independence, literacy, and mathematics skills. Responsibilities of the Early Years Teaching Assistant
* Support class teachers to improve pupils’ learning and attainment
* Encourage pupils' independence, self-esteem, and social inclusion
* Assist pupils individually or in groups to access the curriculum and experience success
* Help with lesson planning, preparation, and resources
* Promote inclusive participation in learning and extracurricular activities
* Apply consistent behaviour management strategies as per school policies
* Organize and manage classroom resources to maintain a stimulating and safe environment
