Electrical Supervisor - Thames Water (Oxford Area) Location: Oxford & surrounding Thames Water region Contract Type: Freelance / Contract Day Rate: £350 p/d Start Date: March 2026 Sector: Water & Wastewater Infrastructure About the Role: We are looking for an experienced Freelance Electrical Supervisor to support ongoing Thames Water projects across the Oxford area. This role is ideal for a proactive supervisor with strong technical expertise, excellent site leadership, and a solid background working on clean water and wastewater treatment assets. Key Responsibilities * Supervise electrical installation, commissioning, and maintenance activities on Thames Water sites * Manage and coordinate contractors, ensuring safe, compliant, and high‑quality delivery * Review and approve RAMS, permits, drawings, and technical documentation * Ensure compliance with WIMES, DSEAR, ATEX, and Thames Water standards * Lead on-site safety practices, toolbox talks, and permit-to-work systems * Liaise with project managers, engineers, and site teams to maintain progress and resolve issues * Conduct inspections, quality checks, and sign‑off of completed works Requirements: * Proven experience as an Electrical Supervisor within the water sector (Thames Water experience highly desirable) * Strong understanding of treatment works, pumping stations, and water‑sector processes * Relevant electrical qualifications (e.g., SSSTS, JIB Gold Card, 18th Edition, ECS/CSCS) * Excellent communication, organisational, and problem‑solving skills * Ability to work independently and manage multiple contractors * Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the Oxford region
