We are excited to be supporting the continued expansion of a global Private Credit and CLO fund. In line with this growth, we are seeking an experienced risk professional to be an integral member of the second line team. Working closely with investment teams, portfolio managers, business stakeholders, and investors, you will contribute to the ongoing enhancement of the firm’s risk framework and governance standards.
This role offers broad exposure across asset classes, meaningful responsibility, and the opportunity to act as a change agent - shaping policies, procedures, and best practices while balancing prudent risk management with commercial objectives.
Key Responsibilities
* Monitor and manage risks across Private Credit and CLO strategies, including semi-liquid evergreen funds, special accounts, and both CLO issuer-side and buy-side portfolios
* Perform comprehensive reviews of credit, market, liquidity, FX, structural, leverage, and operational risks at both portfolio and product levels
* Assess individual investments selectively or on a sample basis and integrate findings into investment and business decision-making
* Conduct scenario analysis and stress testing as required
* Design and implement risk management strategies, governance frameworks, and compliance policies in line with internal standards and external regulatory requirements
* Collaborate with investment, operations, and client-facing teams to provide independent challenge, mitigate risks, and enhance processes
* Oversee Investment Committee administration and support investment appetite and allocation processes
* Contribute to risk-related projects, including conflict of interest management
* Develop and enhance risk data, reporting, models, and systems; support automation and scaling initiatives in collaboration with technology teams
* Promote consistent risk management practices across asset classes, business lines, and locations
1. Requirements
* University degree (or equivalent) in Business, Finance, Economics, or a quantitative discipline
* Minimum of 5 years’ experience in private credit and/or CLO risk management, or comparable experience in credit risk or portfolio management
* Strong understanding of credit analysis, financial reporting, ratings, risk modelling, and CLO structures, documentation, and risk profiles
* Familiarity with relevant market data and systems (e.g., credit and portfolio management platforms) is an advantage
* Advanced Excel skills; experience with SQL, Python, Snowflake, or similar tools is a plus or willingness to learn
* Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau is an asset
* Strong analytical skills with a balance of quantitative and qualitative judgment and excellent attention to detail
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders in complex environments
* Highly organized, proactive, and effective at building strong internal networks
