Job Responsibilities
Operate production machinery to perform specific operations or produce parts according to specifications.
Set up machines, load raw materials, and ensure proper functioning before starting production runs.
Manually operate machines during production, monitoring performance and making adjustments as needed.
Unload finished products from machines, inspecting for quality and adherence to standards.
Follow written and verbal instructions, as well as general operating procedures, applying judgement and selectivity where necessary.
Maintain control over product quality throughout the manufacturing process.
Identify potential issues or problems with machinery or production processes and escalate when necessary.
Assist with basic data entry and utilise computer systems for recording production data.
Ensure a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Good mechanical aptitude and practical skills related to operating machinery.
Experience working with production or manufacturing equipment is preferred.
Ability to interpret written and verbal instructions accurately.
Basic computer proficiency and data entry skills.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining product quality.
Ability to identify issues and problems, with the confidence to seek assistance when needed.
Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential. 39 hours per week
