You will work with amazing and diverse colleagues with a deep sense of commitment to live Our Values and together, go all the way for our customers, society and for each other. : As our Head of Customs Operations, you will lead high performing Area Customs Delivery teams in executing high quality, cost-efficient, and compliant customs declarations either as standalone transactions or as a part of a w solution. You will own and drive customer outcomes (CX) for standalone customers and bundled solutions. This role will manage local customer implementations on standalone business and support with other implementation teams when part of a wider solution. Specific Responsibilities Drive Area Delivery functional outcomes Ensure consistent high-quality delivery of all Customs Products, in line with internal standards and customer promises. Drives efficiency gains and owns cost to serve. Owns local customer implementation (no tech integration) in line with global standards. Owns Area Delivery performance management in line with Regional and Global frameworks. Owns and manages local Customs Compliance in close cooperation with Regional and Global Customs Compliance organization. Ensure delivery capacity is in line with demand. Own the outcomes of the delivery network (incl. 3rd party in conjunction with procurement) and always ensure safe, efficient and high-quality delivery. Ensure mechanisms and processes are in place for speedy issue resolution to protect customer outcomes, with full synchronization towards CX. Drives standardization and automation in line with Global and Regional initiatives. Support the Integration efforts across all Maersk products to enable a seamless end-to-end delivery network across modes of transport. Lead Customs FINOPS execution of OTC and PTP processes and apply control framework in collaboration with GRC and Area Business Control Develop and sustain a capable Area Delivery organization. Build a team with a strong orientation towards delivering superior customer outcomes though efficient high-quality delivery networks Ensure the right delivery capabilities to support the desired customer outcomes are in place. Attract and develop talent capable of collaborating and working in a matrix environment with multiple dotted lines. Ensure Area Delivery colleagues are equipped to operate in line with global policies, safety standards and local regulations (incl. training, coaching, development) Manage performance across the customs products in scope and ensure goals and targets are met. Develop and maintain business continuity plans for processes deemed critical to customer delivery. Create an environment for colleagues to grow and thrive, through empowerment, engagement & trust. Drive Cost to Serve Ensure own and 3rd party operations are executed efficiently and in line with cost and quality ambitions. Manage delivery capacity according to demand without compromising quality outcomes (incl. 3rd party operations and internal offshoring) Implement relevant cost metrics across products in order to performance manage the delivery networks. Create an environment where best practice sharing within, and across Areas are enabled (e.g., benchmarking or similar) Ensure that local bottom-up continuous improvement plans are in place without compromising global standards. Create a feedback loop to sales and product teams for business development purposes, including protecting the integrity of our Product Catalogue Person Specification: Ability to lead, coach and motivate teams towards a shared vision with clear goals. Ability to operate successfully in a complex environment with multiple internal and external stakeholders across several levels Ability to influence stakeholders, both internal and external, to achieve our business objectives. Strong prioritization and delegation skills Ability to build a strong Integrator narrative supporting the journey to create seamless cargo management solutions across modes of transport.
