Job Title: Conveyancing Assistant Location: Nottinghamshire Salary: Dependent on experience Hours: 35 hours per week Firm Details: High Street Firm I am currently representing a high street firm who are currently looking to grow the residential property team in the East Midlands region. Duties for conveyancing assistant: Collaborating closely and proactively with an assistant on a day-to-day basis to ensure the smooth handling of files, exchanges, and completions. Managing the entire process, including addressing additional queries related to case and title investigations. Providing legal advice to clients on relevant issues. Reporting any legal matters to mortgagees. Obtaining quotes for indemnity policies and implementing the necessary policies. Communicating with clients during property purchases, including providing documents for signing. Authorising the exchange of contracts for both sale and purchase transactions. Interacting professionally with clients, brokers, agents, and other work providers. Efficiently executing all processes using the case management system. Staying informed about new legislation and sharing updates with colleagues as needed. The ideal candidate will have the following experience: 2-3 years of experience in the conveyancing field Strong organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively for the day ahead. Effective time management skills to meet deadlines and achieve turnaround times Proficient written and verbal communication skills Friendly and approachable telephone manner, aiming to create an excellent first impression. Keen attention to detail and a methodical approach to administrative tasks Team player mindset, recognising the importance of helping others in the role. Solid IT skills, enabling quick learning of our Case Management System Ability to work independently, taking initiative when needed. Skill in managing priorities, ensuring work is carried out in order of importance. Openness and willingness to learn. Salary and Benefits We offer a competitive salary within a scale that allows for ongoing progression. Your starting annual leave entitlement is 31 days (including bank holidays), increasing by an additional 2 weeks with service. Our full-time hours are lower than those of many employers, at 35 hours per week from Monday to Friday. After completing the "settling in" period, you will benefit from our non-contractual bonus scheme.
