Stock Controller
Salary: GBP34,320
Location: Andover (with travel to Sizewell)
Overview:
First Military Recruitment is currently seeking a Stock Controller on behalf of one of our clients.
The role involves managing stock-related operations across both the Andover and Sizewell sites, ensuring adherence to contractual KPIs and maintaining equipment compliance and maintenance standards. The position requires attention to detail, proactive forecasting, and developing robust stock control systems to optimize efficiency and safety at both locations.

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Controlling and issuing consumables at both sites, including documentation and replenishment.
2. Forecasting stock requirements and ordering necessary parts and consumables.
3. Conducting physical stock counts, reporting discrepancies, and updating records.
4. Managing maintenance and charging of asset batteries, reporting issues.
5. Ensuring compliance with equipment inspections and calibrations, maintaining records.
6. Safeguarding and organizing inspection and calibration certificates.
7. Maintaining equipment documentation packs with compliance evidence.
8. Managing stock data within warehouse management systems.
9. Receiving deliveries and distributing paperwork.
10. Ensuring safe movements within depots, including reallocation and material handling.
11. Assisting with loading/unloading activities.
12. Performing routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning and refuelling.
13. Completing pre-start checklists and reporting defects.
14. Maintaining cleanliness and safety standards, conducting inspections.
15. Undertaking additional duties as directed by the Depot Manager.
16. Being available for emergency deployments and stock control duties at staging posts.
Skills and Qualifications:
1. Experience with warehouse management systems.
2. Experience in audits using barcode and manual systems.
3. Previous stock control experience with understanding of best practices.
4. Logical thinking and problem-solving skills.
5. Attention to detail and data accuracy.
6. Effective communication skills.
7. Ability to remain calm under pressure and in emergencies.
8. IT skills, including proficiency with Excel and stock control databases.
9. Health and Safety awareness, especially in large plant environments.
10. Desirable: 16-tonne FLT licence & HGV Class 2.
11. Based in Andover; travel to Sizewell approximately every two months.
