Job Title: MEICA Engineer
Location: North West England
Rate: £400 per day (Outside IR35 subject to assessment)
Contract Type: Ongoing / Long-Term Contract
The Opportunity
We are currently seeking an experienced MEICA Engineer to support a portfolio of water treatment works upgrade projects across the North West. This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading regional contractor delivering key infrastructure improvements within the water sector. With a strong pipeline of secured work, this role offers long-term continuity and the chance to work on technically challenging and meaningful projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee and coordinate MEICA (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control & Automation) installation and commissioning activities
* Ensure all works are delivered in line with design specifications, industry standards, and health & safety requirements
* Liaise with design teams, subcontractors, and site management to ensure smooth project delivery
* Review and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and schematics
* Support testing, commissioning, and handover processes
* Monitor progress, identify risks, and contribute to problem-solving on site
* Ensure compliance with water industry regulations and client requirements
Requirements
* Proven experience working as a MEICA Engineer within the water or wastewater sector
* Strong knowledge of water treatment processes and infrastructure upgrades
* Demonstrable experience with installation, commissioning, and project delivery
* Relevant engineering qualification (HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent)
* Familiarity with industry standards and health & safety regulations
* Strong communication and coordination skills
* CSCS card (or equivalent) preferred
