This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic Charity and Housing Association. The Society of St James (SSJ) has been working in Hampshire for over 50 years, delivering high impact, person-centred, accommodation services to adults and young people experiencing homelessness, problematic substance use and mental health problems. We're seeking a reliable, multi-skilled trade professional to join our team and ensure our properties (SSJ) across the region are maintained to the highest standard. This is a hands-on, mobile role where your expertise in rapid repairs and quality void turnarounds will directly impact our residents.
The Impact You'll Make:
* Be the Fixer: Execute a range of reactive maintenance and void works across our offices and housing projects, ensuring every job is completed cost-effectively and on time.
* Quality Focused: Take pride in delivering high-quality workmanship, making sure all homes are safe, compliant, and ready for immediate occupation.
* Team Player: Collaborate closely with the Property Services Manager and Maintenance Co-ordinators to prioritise tasks and manage material stock efficiently.
* Vehicle: Take full responsibility for the care and maintenance of your supplied company van.
Who We're Looking For:
* Proven expertise in property maintenance, repairs, and void turnaround works within housing or facilities management.
* Skilled in at least one core trade with strong practical knowledge in others: Carpentry/Joinery, Basic Plumbing, Painting and Decorating.
* Diagnostic Ability: Excellent skill in diagnosing, fixing, and accurately reporting building defects.
* Familiarity with all relevant Health and Safety standards.
* A full, clean UK driving licence and a willingness to travel between sites.
