The Role
We are looking for an experienced Quality Lead to join our team at our Port Talbot facility. Reporting to senior management, you will oversee a team of welding and quality inspectors, ensuring all aspects of quality control and assurance in welding and fabrication are fully satisfied.
Key Responsibilities
* Working as part of the wider management and supervision team
* Understanding and following inspection and test plans
* Maintaining traceability throughout all projects
* Managing and overseeing NDT operations
* Liaising directly with client quality teams
* Preparation and management of quality documentation
* Mentoring and directing a team of welding and quality inspectors
Qualifications
Essential:
* CSWIP 3.2 Senior Welding Inspector or higher
Desirable:
* IOSH Managing Safely or SMSTS
Experience & Skills
* 5+ years of experience in a QA/QC role within the engineering or construction industry
* Proven ability to develop and follow inspection and test plans
* Experience working with ISO 9001 quality management systems
* Previous experience in a team-leading or supervisory capacity
* Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise across client and internal teams
