Are you passionate about connecting education with industry? EKC Group is seeking a proactive and organised Industry Liaison Officer (ILO) to play a key role in building strong employer partnerships and supporting students on their journey into the workplace.
As an ILO, you will be responsible for coordinating and monitoring industry placements across a range of vocational areas within the Creative field. You’ll act as the main point of contact for employers, helping to build meaningful relationships that benefit both students and businesses.
Key responsibilities include:
* Securing and overseeing industry placements for students across varied vocational pathways
* Acting as the primary contact for employer relations in allocated subject areas
* Organising employer events, workplace visits, and other industry-linked experiences
* Ensuring all employer documentation is completed accurately and on time, in line with college policies and national requirements
* Working directly with students, both one-to-one and in small groups, to:
o Identify and assess their employability skills gaps
o Support their development to ensure readiness for successful placements
* Collaborating with curriculum teams to ensure placements are relevant and effective

Hours per week: 7.5
Weeks per year: 38 (during term time)
Salary: £4,015 per year
Holiday pay: £581 per year

About You
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and proactive Industry Liaison Officer who brings strong interpersonal skills and a genuine interest in supporting student success through industry engagement.
You will:
* Possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Be highly organised, with the ability to prioritise tasks and respond flexibly to changing demands
* Have an inquisitive and analytical mindset, with strong attention to detail
* Be confident working independently using their own initiative, as well as collaboratively within a team
* Demonstrate a professional and approachable manner when working with both students and employers
* Ideally hold a Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject
o Alternatively, relevant experience in the creative sector and a willingness to work towards a Level 3 qualification will also be considered
