Job Title: Maintenance Fitter
Our client is a leading manufacturer of products supplying the construction and residential sectors across the UK & Ireland. We are recruiting a Maintenance Fitter who will carry out preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs on production equipment to ensure minimal downtime and efficient production.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday dayshift. This position offers a great opportunity for someone looking to move away from shift work. Overtime hours are paid at a premium rate for over 40 hours.
Candidate Requirements
* Level 3 Engineering qualification or similar
* Maintenance experience in a manufacturing/production environment
Role Responsibilities
1. Perform maintenance and repairs on production equipment and facilities
2. Conduct mechanical and electrical repairs to minimize downtime
3. Fault finding to resolve issues and identify root causes
4. Carry out planned maintenance and contribute to maintenance schedules
5. Ensure compliance with company HSEQ standards and eliminate risks during maintenance work
6. Record maintenance activities using maintenance software
7. Promote best practices in maintenance, quality, housekeeping, and health & safety
8. Collaborate effectively with colleagues across all areas of the business
Ideal Candidate Profile
* Level 3 qualified apprenticeship in Engineering or similar
* Proven maintenance experience in a manufacturing/production setting
* Strong mechanical skills, including welding and fitting
* Knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, drives, and motors
* Ability to understand mechanical and electrical drawings
