Base pay range
Hills Quarry Products have an opportunity available for a Mobile Plant Operative to join our team at our Mortimer Quarry, near Reading. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £31,748.43 per annum alongside a great range of benefits, including:

About the role:
As our Mobile Plant Operative, reporting to the Quarry Manager, you will operate and maintain mobile plant machinery and provide cover at other Hills Quarry sites, as and when required.
Your key responsibilities as our Mobile Plant Operative will include:
* Operate fixed and mobile plant as instructed by the Quarry Manager in a correct and safe manner.
* Carry out repair and maintenance work on fixed and mobile plant.
* Cover for the Foreman or Weighbridge Operator in their absence.
What we’re looking for in our Mobile Plant Operative:
Essential
* Previous experience using mobile plant including dumpers, loading shovel and 360° excavators in a similar environment and hold certified tickets.
Desirable
* NVQ/QCF Level 2 (SPMO).
* Mechanical knowledge.
* Awareness of the Quarry Regulations 1999.
