Job Description
The Facilities Maintenance Technician will:
3. Conduct routine inspections of premises and equipment.
4. Perform preventative maintenance tasks and fault finding to avoid potential issues.
5. Handle basic repairs and maintenance such as minor plumbing, minor electrical repairs and fixings and redecorating.
6. Collaborate with the Facilities Management team to ensure smooth operations.
7. Report to the Facilities Manager regarding issues resolved, those needing attention, and those currently in progress.
8. Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
9. Ensure tools and materials are available and in good working order.
10. Have a background in building and construction maintenance.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Facilities Maintenance Technician should have:
11. Proven experience in a similar role.
12. Skills across basic plumbing, electrics, building repairs and maintenance.
13. Strong knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.
14. Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work flexible hours.
15. Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices.
16. Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills.
17. A good understanding of Health & Safety procedures.
18. A full and clean driving licence.
19. A background in real estate and property maintenance.
20. The willingness to travel across Luton, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and the surrounding region.
