Successful, friendly and growing accountancy practice, established for over 30 years, seeks an experienced and detail-orientated Bookkeeper to join its well-established team.
You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records for clients, processing transactions and supporting the team. A part-time position will be considered if required for the right candidate.
Bookkeeper responsibilities will include:
* Record day-to-day financial transactions and ensure accuracy of postings
* Reconcile bank accounts and supplier statements
* Process invoices, expenses and payroll journals
* Prepare VAT returns
* Maintain organised financial records and support year end processes
* Liaise internally with directors, accounts and payroll teams
* Liaise externally with clients, providing exceptional customer service
As Bookkeeper you’ll need:
* Proven experience as a Bookkeeper gained in a similar accountancy practice environment
* Proficiency in accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, Sage)
* Strong understanding of accounting principles and VAT
* Relevant certifications or qualifications in Accounting advantageous
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
* Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively, work independently and manage deadlines
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
