Your new role
This senior-level position involves managing a varied portfolio of personal and business tax matters. Responsibilities include:
1. Completion and processing of personal and partnership self-assessment tax returns
2. Capital gains tax calculations, including 60-day CGT forms
3. Preparation of basic income & expenditure accounts for sole traders and rental accounts
4. Reviewing PAYE coding notices and taxation statements of account
5. Liaising with HMRC via phone and written correspondence
6. General day-to-day handling of clients' tax affairs
Additional knowledge in Corporation Tax, Capital Allowances, Trust/Estate Tax Returns, and Inheritance Tax would be highly advantageous. Full training on internal systems and procedures will be provided.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will be:
7. AAT/ATT qualified or QBE (10+ years)
8. Experienced with a strong mixed tax background
9. Professional, hardworking, and able to manage deadlines independently.
10. A confident communicator across email, phone, and face-to-face interactions
11. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
12. A team player who can also work effectively on their own
13. A full clean driving licence is preferable.
