Key Responsibilities
* SEO Content Production – Produce high-quality, well-researched, and fully search-optimised content aligned to SEO briefs and keyword targets. Ensure all content meets Embryo’s editorial standards for accuracy, clarity, grammar, and brand tone.
* Content Brief Execution – Work from SEO-led content briefs and keyword research to produce content that supports organic growth objectives. Ensure all content follows optimisation best practices, including keyword targeting, internal linking, SERP intent alignment, and clear content structure.
* Editing & Quality Control – Review and self-edit all work before submission to ensure it meets a high editorial and optimisation standard. Take on feedback from senior team members and continuously refine writing, formatting, and optimisation techniques.
* Cross-Team Collaboration – Work closely with SEO Account Managers and the wider Organic team to ensure content aligns with client strategy, campaign priorities, and organic growth opportunities.
* Content Organisation & Workflow Management – Manage your assigned content tasks within Embryo’s workflow systems, ensuring work is completed on schedule and aligned with agreed client deliverables.
* CMS Uploading & Publishing – Upload and publish content within client CMS platforms where required, ensuring correct formatting, metadata optimisation, internal linking, and on-page SEO best practices are followed.
* Performance Awareness – Support the SEO team by maintaining an understanding of how content contributes to organic performance, including traffic, rankings, and engagement metrics.
* Documentation & Reporting Support – Maintain clear records of delivered content and support monthly reporting by providing visibility of completed work and upcoming
Skills & Experience
* 2 + years experience in a similar role
* You should have experience in writing SEO-focused content in a digital agency or freelance capacity.
* You should be comfortable with managing content across multiple workstreams.
* Proactive communication, both internally and with clients, is a must. You should also be comfortable engaging with clients and discussing strategy if needed.
* You will receive regular feedback on your writing, so a willingness to develop as a writer and make changes based on this feedback is vital.
