LCV Mechanic / Light Commercial Vehicle Technician Cardiff (Outskirts - easy access from M4 / A470)Competitive Salary (DOE) + BenefitsFull-Time, PermanentAbout the Opportunity Paradigm Employment Services are working on behalf of a well-established and growing engineering and vehicle services business in the Cardiff area. Due to continued demand, they are looking to appoint an experienced LCV Mechanic / Vehicle Technician to join their team. This is a hands-on role working across a mixed fleet of light commercial vehicles (LCVs), vans, and cars, offering variety and long-term stability within a supportive workshop environment.The Role You'll be responsible for carrying out a wide range of mechanical duties, ensuring vehicles are maintained to high safety and performance standards. Key responsibilities include:
* Servicing and routine maintenance of LCVs, vans, and cars
* Diagnostics and fault finding
* Mechanical repairs (engine, brakes, suspension, etc.)
* Vehicle inspections and health checks
* Preparing vehicles for MOT testing
* Supporting MOT testing (if qualified)
* Ensuring all work is completed in line with safety and compliance standards
* Maintaining accurate service and repair records
The Candidate We're looking for someone who is reliable, hands-on, and takes pride in delivering quality workmanship. Ideal experience includes:
* Proven experience as an LCV Mechanic / Vehicle Technician
* Experience working on vans and light commercial fleets
* Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
* MOT testing licence (advantageous, not essential)
* Relevant qualifications (NVQ/City & Guilds or equivalent preferred)
* Full UK driving licence
