About the role of Quantity Surveyor
This Quantity Surveyor position is full time and you will be based at their head office in Essex/East London but would be required to visit sites.
The works would entail, refurbishment of schools, blocks of flats, street properties, retirement homes, fire stations, libraries, and various other public buildings for Local Authorities and Housing Associations. These will be under different forms of contract.
The general trades that they place subcontractor orders with are scaffolding, lightning protection, roofing, windows, wet trade repairs, painting, M&E, internal modifications, demolition, partitions, blinds, door entry, fire alarms, fire doors and the like, small extensions and various forms of flooring, cleaning or any other trade required for the particular project.
Key Responsibilities of Quantity Surveyor:
* Prepare monthly cost reconciliation
* Ensure contracts are financially controlled and meet client requirements
* Negotiation of Final Accounts
* Cost Valuation Reporting
Key Requirements of Quantity Surveyor:
* Live within commutable distance from East London/Essex
* Experience in planned maintenance as a Quantity Surveyor
* Degree in a construction related subject is ideal
