Commercial Manager
Location: Hybrid – Southern Home Counties.
Opportunity
Liberty Group is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to take the lead on risk, opportunity, and commercial performance across a diverse portfolio of social housing, construction, and decarbonisation projects. This high‑impact senior role offers autonomy, flexibility, and the opportunity to shape commercial outcomes across long‑term maintenance contracts and exciting one‑off construction schemes.
What You'll Be Doing
* Driving commercial entitlement through robust contract management
* Leading risk and opportunity management across live contracts
* Supporting and guiding commercial and QS teams
* Managing change, performance, and dispute avoidance
* Acting as a client‑facing commercial lead, negotiating best outcomes
* Deputising for the Commercial Director – Operations when required
Projects span repairs & maintenance, heating & compliance, gas, EICR, and decarbonisation/renewables.
Location & Working Pattern
* Hybrid – typically 2 days per week, occasionally 3
* Travel across the South; key locations include Oxfordshire, Kent, Cambridge & Swindon
* Southern Home Counties focus

What We’re Looking For
* Degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management
* Strong background in social housing, property services, or construction
* Sound knowledge of NEC, JCT, NHF or similar contracts
* Confident communicator, negotiator, and commercial leader
RICS and Renewables Experience
Desirable but not essential.
