Three Chequers Medical Practice is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support our Practice Clinicians and Dispensary Team. The role involves ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and efficient systems for repeat prescribing, medicines optimisation, reducing medicines waste, and maximising patient outcomes.
Location: Salisbury City Centre, Winterslow, and Porton. We are open to considering remote working arrangements.
The successful candidate will collaborate with our experienced Dispensary team to advise GPs, staff, and patients on prescribing changes to enhance safety, quality, and cost-effectiveness. Additionally, the role includes undertaking medicines reconciliation following practice protocols and updating patients' medical records accordingly.
Main duties of the job
The candidate will contribute to improving patient care through monitoring and managing prescribing, responding professionally and promptly to medication queries from patients, staff, and healthcare providers. Support for medication reviews, patient information dissemination, medicine awareness, and community visits will also be part of the role.
This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday. Applicants must hold a full UK driving licence. We are open to a hybrid working model combining remote work and on-site duties for the right candidate.
