Contracts Manager
Super-Prime Main Contractor | £2-£10m Super Prime Schemes | Central London
The Opportunity
We are working with a highly regarded super-prime main contractor delivering some of the finest private residential and mixed-use projects in London and the Home Counties.
They are now seeking an exceptional Contracts Manager to take full responsibility for a £10 million flagship scheme, while also acting as a mentor and sounding board to three Project Managers within the business.
This role offers direct access to the business owners, significant autonomy, and a clear pathway into an operational / leadership role upon successful completion of the project.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership – £10m Scheme
* Full end-to-end responsibility for the delivery of a complex super-prime project
* Client-facing lead, representing the contractor at senior level
* Managing programme, cost, quality, logistics, and design coordination
* Leading site and consultant teams to an exceptional finish
* Ensuring best-in-class health & safety, quality control, and reporting
Mentorship & Leadership (Non-Operational)
* Acting as a mentor and professional sounding board to three Project Managers
* Providing guidance on:
* Programming and sequencing
* Client management
* Risk mitigation and decision-making
* Quality standards and best practice
* No day-to-day operational responsibility for their projects
Strategic Involvement
* Working directly with the owners on:
* Project strategy and delivery methodology
* Continuous improvement and best practice
* Input into future resourcing and project planning
Future Progression
* Upon completion of the £10m scheme, there is a clear and genuine opportunity to step into an Operational Management / Project Director-level role
* Involvement in:
* Oversight of multiple high-value schemes
* Mentoring senior delivery teams
* Supporting business growth and standards across the company
Candidate Profile
* Proven experience delivering super-prime or ultra-high-end projects (£8m+)
* Strong background as a Senior Project Manager or Contracts Manager
* Confident, credible, and polished client-facing communicator
* Natural leader with the gravitas to mentor and influence senior PMs
* Comfortable working closely with business owners in an entrepreneurial environment
* Technically strong across structure, basements, complex refurbishments, and high-end fit-out
