Blue Arrow is urgently recruiting for a Welder Fabricator to join our client's expanding team based in Port Talbot. Paid weekly!
Rate of Pay: Days: £14.50/hr
Hours of work: Monday to Thursday 7:30 am - 4:30 pm, Fridays 6 am - 12 noon (40-hour paid week)
Contract: Temporary ongoing until further notice
Our client, based in Port Talbot, is an engineering and fabrication business with over 50 years of experience. They seek skilled Welder Fabricators for steel fabrication.
Duties include:
* Perform high-quality MIG welding and fabrication on industrial steel doors
* Fabricate components following instructions, technical drawings, and specifications
* Operate and maintain welding and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently
* Inspect and quality check completed work to ensure standards are met
* Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations
Candidate requirements:
* Experience in welding and fabricating in a workshop environment
* Experience in MIG welding of mild steel up to 16mm thickness
* An apprenticeship is desirable; recent certifications are a plus
* Ability to read engineering drawings and fabricate accordingly
* Proficiency with hand tools and power tools
* Teamwork skills
* Attention to detail and accuracy
* UK driving license
