As a Service Advisor, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers requiring vehicle servicing, repairs, or maintenance. Your role is to deliver a seamless, professional experience that enhances customer satisfaction, maximises service sales, and builds long-term loyalty. Managing communication efficiently and accurately documenting customer requirements are key to success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
13. Welcome customers warmly, ensuring they feel valued and confident in our service.
14. Clearly communicate the range of services, repairs, and additional products available.
15. Promote and upsell services, warranties, accessories, and loyalty memberships to boost departmental performance.
16. Accurately record customer vehicle details, service requirements, and obtain necessary authorisations.
17. Follow up with customers using structured systems to ensure satisfaction and future business.
18. Manage service and parts sales, including warranty policies and promotional offers.
19. Ensure reception areas are professional, well-maintained, and adequately staffed.
20. Oversee accurate invoicing and job costing to maintain financial integrity.
21. Liaise effectively with workshop staff to ensure smooth scheduling and vehicle flow.
22. Maintain high standards of customer service, resolving issues promptly and courteously.
23. Handle administration tasks related to appointments, paperwork, and customer records efficiently.
Essential Skills & Experience:
24. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with customers and colleagues.
25. Strong organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
26. Ability to record and handle detailed information accurately.
27. Customer-focused mentality with a professional and friendly approach.
28. Previous experience as a Service Advisor or in a similar automotive customer service role is preferred.
29. Technical knowledge of vehicle servicing, repairs, and warranty procedures is advantageous.
Desirable Qualifications:
30. Ability to process payments precisely and efficiently.
31. Up-to-date knowledge of warranty procedures, vehicle legislation, and trade practices.
32. Familiarity with computerised recording systems and reporting tools.
