Job Opportunity: Residential Support Worker in Derbyshire
An exciting opportunity has arisen for residential support workers in Derbyshire, working within a residential children's home.
The service aims to ensure that its most vulnerable children's needs are met and that their life chances are maximized to enable them to achieve their full potential. As a residential support worker, you will be part of a team providing 24-hour care and ensuring that the quality of care provided is consistent in line with OFSTED standards.
Responsibilities:
1. Support children and young people in all day-to-day activities and interests.
2. Promote the young person's independence and wellbeing.
3. Attend weekends away, holidays, and trips with the children.
4. Support children and young people in their interests during weekend and evening activities, which can include activities like climbing and baking cakes.
5. Protect children and young people from risks to their health and welfare.
6. Provide emotional and practical support to young people within your care.
7. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of care plans and guidelines to ensure the safety of young people.
Salary and Progression:
Salary ranges from £24,000 to £26,000, covering shift patterns including days, weekends, and sleeps. Opportunities for progression into senior roles are available.
