We are working with a respected client based near Durham for a Head of Serious Injury, on a full-time permanent basis. This is a senior leadership role within a specialist medico-legal services environment, responsible for leading the Serious Injury division.

What You Will Be Doing
* A senior leadership role with ownership of a key specialist service line
* Accountability for departmental strategy, performance, and profitability
* Responsibility for regulatory compliance across complex medico-legal frameworks
* Close collaboration with Sales, Finance, IT, and Change teams
* Ownership of quality assurance, continuous improvement, and digitisation initiatives
* Direct influence on client satisfaction, expert performance, and service scalability
* Defining and delivering the Serious Injury departmental strategy
* Leading the end-to-end operational delivery of medico-legal reporting for serious injury cases
* Ensuring compliance with Civil Procedure Rules (CPR), GDPR, MedCo, and relevant industry standards
* Managing and developing client relationships, including governance meetings and escalation resolution
* Driving commercial growth, revenue performance, and profitability
* Owning quality assurance frameworks to improve report quality and reduce addenda rates
* Optimising case handling workflows to meet SLA, turnaround time, and service targets
* Managing departmental P&L, budgets, and cost control measures
* Developing and maintaining MI dashboards to provide operational and commercial transparency
* Championing digitisation, automation, and system improvements to support scalability
* Overseeing expert onboarding, validation, indemnity compliance, and ongoing performance
* Managing risk effectively and ensuring regulatory adherence at all times
* Fostering a culture of accountability, inclusivity, innovation, and continuous improvement
What We Are Looking For
* Proven operational leader and Strong stakeholder management
* High level of commercial awareness
* Data-driven decision-maker with experience using MI and KPIs
* Strong ethical standards with a commitment to confidentiality and professionalism
* Degree in Law, Healthcare, Business, or a related discipline would be disirable
* Minimum of three years’ experience in a similar role
