This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join the Occupational Health and Wellbeing team at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. You will be employed as an Occupational Therapist (wellbeing practitioner) in the Occupational Health and Wellbeing Service at CUH. Based in the multidisciplinary Staff Wellbeing Team, you will provide both “upstream” health promoting advice and education and “downstream” vocational rehabilitation support to CUH staff. You will do this through a combination of 1:1 assessment, training, groupwork and development of written resources.

The Staff Wellbeing Team works to improve the health and wellbeing of CUH staff by empowering, supporting and educating. The occupational therapist will bring an understanding of occupation, functioning and vocational rehabilitation and apply this to CUH staff.


Responsibilities

* Undertake workplace functional assessment of employees including those with diverse or complex presentations of various health conditions.
* Use occupational therapy clinical reasoning skills, environmental and psychosocial assessment techniques to determine the implications on work performance and productivity.
* Provide occupational therapy informed advice to management and employees on matters relating to occupational health, particularly the prevention of illness and the maintenance and improvement of health and well‑being, including recommendations to support individuals to remain well in work or return to work following a sickness absence, considering the match between the individual’s abilities and the job role/tasks.
* Lead on health promotion and education activities across the Trust.
* Facilitate groups and training sessions on topics relevant to workplace health and well‑being.

Visa Requirements

Due to Home Office immigration rules, a full time permanent vacancy cannot be filled by individuals on a Student visa. Therefore, please be advised that if you are a Student visa holder, we will not be able to offer you a full time permanent contract unless you have:

* applied for a Graduate visa
* or you will have successfully completed your course and have applied for a Graduate visa before the anticipated start date of your employment
* or the Trust has agreed that they will Sponsor you as a Skilled Worker and you will complete your studies within 3 months of the anticipated start date of employment
