Overview
Electrical, Controls & Instrumentation Engineer – We currently have an excellent opportunity for an Electrical, Controls & Instrumentation Engineer to join a friendly and busy on-site team for a treatment plant based in Fawley, Hampshire.
Responsibilities
* To provide E, C & I support across the site
* To conduct planned preventative maintenance in accordance with PPM schedule
* To perform all duties in accordance with documented work requirements, legislation and the company's policies and objectives, maintaining and improving performance in the areas of Safety, Quality and Environment
* To be responsible for ensuring that appropriate repair and maintenance requirements are identified and undertaken as necessary to maintain plant availability and improve efficiency
* Assist in detailed planning of and preparation for plant maintenance shut down periods
* Advise management of safety issues
* Conduct hazard and risk assessments for routine and defect maintenance tasks as required
* Recommend modifications or maintenance procedures that enhance the plant's performance
Ideal / Desirable Experience
* Minimum of 2 years in industrial environment, revolving around Electrical and/or C&I installation, testing, inspecting & calibration
* Enthusiastic and competent problem solver with a practical approach to engineering problems
* PC literate, and capable of learning how to use new software systems
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* A minimum of 18th edition or NVQ equivalent and experience of maintaining industrial installations and equipment
* Good knowledge of Instrumentation & process controls including PLCs
Desirable Skills
* COMPEX 01 to 04 preferable but not essential as training will be given to the right candidate
* Experience with working in a Hazardous Area Environment
* Waste management experience
* Continuous processing Plant experience
* Recognised Apprenticeship in Engineering Maintenance or equivalent
Salary & Benefits
* Salary - £40,000 - £45,000 (including bonuses)
* Hours: Day Shift Monday to Friday
