The Vertical Lift Supplier Management and Procurement team has an exciting position for Procurement Agent (Buyer) within our Aircraft support team. This role is offered on a hybrid working basis minimum 3 days in office. Locations preferred: Gosport, Bristol; Other: Yeovil.


Responsibilities

* Partner with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to expand our service delivery model while ensuring service delivery excellence to all business partners.
* Negotiate contracts for products, services and technologies.
* Engage stakeholders to integrate program, customer, product and in‑service strategies into source selection, negotiation and contracting.
* Negotiate pricing and contract terms and conditions.
* Prepare and execute negotiated contractual documents and binding agreements.
* Optimize supply‑chain execution by balancing inventory, supply orders and schedule demand.
* Manage supplier/subcontractor performance and relationships to ensure delivery, quality, financial stability and in‑service performance.
* Mitigate risks and issues.
* Initiate supplier improvement activities and integrate the results into contracting strategies.
* Perform continuous review and analysis of demand and supply.
* Prepare and execute proprietary information agreements.
* Support sourcing strategies, negotiations and documentation of contracts and agreements.
* Communicate performance expectations and metrics to evaluate and monitor supplier performance.
* Experience with Tooling and Ground Support Equipment procurement (nice to have).

Qualifications

* Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
o 2–4 years of relevant experience.
o Understanding of the commodity.
o Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP/ERP knowledge.
o Adaptability & global mindset.
o Building positive relationships.
o Strong and effective communication.
o Customer focus.
o Analytical skills & tool development for sustainability initiatives.
o Interpersonal skills and customer focus are crucial.
o BPSS required.
* Preferred Qualifications:
o CIPS level 4+ accreditation (nice to have).
