We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Lecturer in Childcare to join our Health Sciences team. You'll be delivering high-quality teaching across a range of levels. You'll play a key role in helping students achieve their full potential, developing engaging course content, and staying in tune with both industry standards and local needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Teaching and assessing learners across a range of Childcare courses.
Supporting student retention, achievement, and progression.
Acting as a personal tutor/course coordinator for designated groups.
Developing high-quality teaching materials and schemes of work.
Engaging with employers and external bodies to support placements and career opportunities.
Participating in the continuous improvement of curriculum and quality assurance processes.
Contributing to marketing, curriculum development, and course coordination activities.
Embracing CPD (minimum of 30 hours annually) to stay current in your field.
What We're Looking For:
A degree or professional qualification in a Childcare-related field
Teaching qualification (or working towards one)
Strong knowledge and practical experience in the field of Childcare
Experience teaching or training in the subject area
Excellent communication and organisational skills
A learner-focused, inclusive approach
Commitment to safeguarding, equality, and continuous improvement
Safeguarding of Children and Vulnerable Adults
In line with Keeping Children Safe in Education all employment offers are subject employment checks. These include (some of which are dependent on the role and the individual): Enhanced DBS including Children's Barred List check, DfE teaching/management Barred List check, on-line searches, overseas criminal record check, evidence of identity and Right to Work in the UK, satisfactory references, confirmation of medical fitness, evidence of relevant qualifications and a check of previous employment history.
