Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time tutor to deliver across our Level 2 and Level 3 Uniformed Protective Services provision. This role will suit someone who enjoys working with a wide and diverse range of students on full-time study programmes. The post involves co-leading aspects of this provision and requires appropriately qualified individuals with experience in the Uniformed Protective Services.


Responsibilities

* Co-lead aspects of the Level 2 and Level 3 Uniformed Protective Services provision.
* Deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment to a diverse group of students.
* Create effective and stimulating learning opportunities and contribute to curriculum development and student outcomes.


Qualifications and requirements

* Experience in the Uniformed Protective Services and appropriate teaching qualifications.
* Advanced Teacher Status (ATS) via the Society for Education and Training (SET) is eligible for an enhanced salary of £42,738 – details on request.


Salary and benefits

Salary: Up to £41,313 per annum (subject to experience and qualifications). Plus generous benefits: 57 days annual leave per year (including bank holidays and efficiency closures); Generous Occupational Pension Scheme; Financial support towards teacher training course fees if you do not have a recognised Level 5 teaching qualification (Cert Ed/PGCE).

We are a large regional college serving York and North Yorkshire. We have over one million people in the area and each year we educate approximately 4,000 school leavers, 1,000 apprentices, 2,000 adult students, and 400 higher-level students. Our wide range of education options spans entry level programmes through to degrees, higher technical qualifications, and accredited professional courses. We are part of the Yorkshire and Humber Institute of Technology (IoT), designed to increase higher-level technical skills for employers.
