About the Role
Viridor is looking for a Safety & Compliance Manager to work at our new Thameside Facility at Tilbury Docks. The role involves 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
The salary will be competitive per year with participation in an annual bonus scheme and a range of benefits.

Responsibilities
As the Safety & Compliance Manager, you will:
* Manage and monitor Health & Safety systems, procedures, and safe systems of work at site level.
* Maintain compliance with Viridor management systems and support compliance with environmental permits or licences.
* Implement policy and procedure to deliver a highly compliant, quality‑led environment with safety at its core.
* Actively monitor, maintain, and manage health and safety risk assessments, SSOW, and method statements.
* Support the development of the plant to maintain high productivity whilst ensuring no compromise with respect to health, safety and environmental compliance.
Qualifications
* Hands‑on safety professional experience in industrial settings; experience at an energy‑from‑waste facility is advantageous.
* Relevant experience within a highly regulated and compliance‑focused environment.
* Strong leadership skills to develop a new team in a start‑up scenario with a no‑compromise approach.
* Experience of permitted/regulated activities and processes, preferably within a controlled emissions environment.
* Knowledge of the energy‑from‑waste/power industry inclusive of legislative knowledge.
* IOSH/NEBOSH safety qualification (or equivalent).
* Awareness of ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001 and ISO 50001.
* Full UK driving licence.
