CFO - IT Services, SaaS, Operational Finance, FP&A
Location: London or Cheshire (Hybrid 2 days office)
Salary: £85k-£140k DOE + Bonus & Benefits

Role We are seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the finance function and act as a strategic partner to the executive team.
This is a hands-on, commercially focused role with responsibility for a team of 5. You will own the full finance agenda, with a particular emphasis on operational finance, FP&A, performance reporting, and profit optimisation.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading and developing the finance team, embedding high standards and clear accountability
Drive financial accountability within the organisation
Full ownership of FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning
Delivering timely, insightful management reporting to support decision-making
Driving margin improvement, cost control, and profitability across services and contracts
Overseeing financial controls, cash flow, working capital, and statutory compliance
Partnering closely with operational and commercial leaders to maximise performance
Supporting strategic initiatives, growth planning, and potential future transactions
This role offers genuine influence, visibility, and the opportunity to shape how finance supports the business at a strategic and operational level.
Person We are looking for a seasoned CFO, or a Finance Director / Head of Finance ready to step into their first CFO role.
You will bring:
Strong experience in a technology, managed services, or project-based environment
Experience in managing operational finance for organisations, turnover £35m +
Solid experienceFP&A, commercial finance, and performance analysis
Proven experience leading and developing finance teams
A pragmatic, hands-on approach with the ability to operate at both detail and board level
Strong business partnering skills and commercial mindset
Confidence influencing senior stakeholders and challenging constructively
You are someone who enjoys building structure, driving clarity, and using financial insight to improve outcomes not just reporting numbers, but shaping decisions.
