Job Description
Main Purpose of Job
The main purpose of this full-time position is to provide individual, group, and family counseling, as well as coordinate therapies, services, and referrals through the behavioral health program to improve the functioning of the individuals served. This role may require some weekend and/or evening hours. The selected applicant must be able to work and travel to all Worcester County Health Department sites.
Minimum Qualifications
* Education: Determined by the Maryland State Board of Social Work Examiners under licensing requirements for Social Workers.
* Experience: Two years of clinical social work experience in a healthcare or treatment setting after obtaining an approved Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited college or university.
* Note: Military service experience at the rank of Corporal/Petty Officer or higher as a commissioned officer in Social Work classifications or related fields may substitute for experience on a year-for-year basis.
Licenses, Registrations, and Certifications
* Candidates must be licensed as a Certified Social Worker or Certified Social Worker, Clinical, by the Maryland State Board of Social Work Examiners prior to appointment. Those without a license may apply and submit proof upon receipt.
* Applicants must possess a valid operator's license in Maryland if duties include operating a vehicle.
