My client is a UK leading furniture manufacturer near High Wycombe and they are looking for an experienced HSE Manager / Safety & Environmental Compliance Officer to lead Health, Safety, and Environmental initiatives at their manufacturing facility.

Reporting to the Operations Director, you'll ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, drive continuous improvement in HSE performance, and promote a strong safety and sustainability culture across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Health & Safety
* Develop and maintain H&S policies and procedures.
* Conduct risk assessments and implement control measures.
* Lead incident investigations and follow up on corrective actions.
* Deliver staff training on safe practices and emergency response.
* Foster a safety-first culture through regular audits and communication.
Environmental Compliance
* Ensure compliance with regulations (e.g. PPT, UKTR, EPR).
* Champion energy and waste reduction initiatives.
* Maintain environmental certifications (e.g. FSC).
* Chair the internal Sustainability Committee.
Product & Regulatory Compliance
* Monitor and interpret relevant legislation and product safety standards (e.g. REACH, GPSR).
* Oversee compliance testing and documentation for international markets.
* Act as the point of contact for customer compliance queries.
Qualifications & Experience
* Degree in HSE, Environmental Science, Engineering or similar.
* NEBOSH Certificate/Diploma preferred.
* HSE experience in a manufacturing environment required.
* Strong knowledge of UK HSE and environmental regulations.
Salary - £45K - £50K (Office based)
