About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming and supportive school in Bradford.
This role is ideal for a candidate who holds a recognised HLTA qualification and has recent experience working within UK schools. The successful candidate will be confident supporting teaching and learning across a range of year groups, delivering interventions, covering lessons, and contributing to positive pupil outcomes.
✨ Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality learning activities to individuals, small groups, and whole classes.
Provide classroom cover during teacher absence and PPA time.
Deliver targeted interventions to support pupil progress and attainment.
Monitor, assess, and record pupil progress, providing feedback to teachers.
Support pupils with SEND, SEMH, and additional learning needs.
Promote positive behaviour and maintain high expectations for learning.
Prepare classroom resources and support lesson delivery.
Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, parents, and external agencies.
️ Safeguard and promote the welfare of all pupils at all times.
✅ Essential Requirements
A recognised HLTA qualification is essential.
Recent experience working within UK primary or secondary schools is essential.
Strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum.
Experience delivering lessons and covering classes independently.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience supporting pupils with a range of educational needs.
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
️ A thorough understanding of safeguarding procedures and school policies.
⭐ Desirable Skills
Experience supporting SEND pupils.
Experience delivering intervention programmes.
Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
A proactive and flexible approach to supporting teaching and learning.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
