*Job Overview*
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head Chef/Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality, safety, and efficiency. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a passionate professional with strong leadership skills to manage a very busy kitchen, open 7 days a week, producing over 1500 covers a week .
*Duties*
* Supervise daily kitchen operations, including food preparation and cooking processes
* Manage and motivate the culinary team to deliver outstanding service and maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene
* Oversee food production, ensuring consistency, presentation, and quality across all dishes
* Develop and implement menu ideas in collaboration with management, considering customer preferences and seasonal ingredients
* Monitor stock levels, order supplies, and manage inventory to minimise waste and control costs
* Train staff on food safety regulations, proper cooking techniques, and hospitality standards
* Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation within the kitchen environment
* Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
* Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen workspace at all times
*Experience*
* Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen setting
* Extensive background in food production, culinary arts, and food preparation
* Strong team management skills with the ability to lead and inspire a diverse team
* Demonstrable experience in cooking across various cuisines and styles
* Previous hospitality or restaurant experience is essential
* Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations is required
* Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment is advantageous
* Leadership qualities with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
