An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified ANP to gain cardiac knowledge and skills, with support from an established experienced ANP team and the wider cardiology MDT. You can expect to gain knowledge of cardiac patient presentation, assessment, investigations and management, taking into consideration specific cardiac defects and anatomy.
Within this position you will work on the cardiology ward, undertaking patient admissions, PICU step-downs, providing day to day care and management of cardiology patients and preparation for their discharge. A vital part of the role is the ANP led pre-assessment clinic, where children scheduled for cardiac interventions are assessed and prepared for their procedure. This also involves undertaking remote consultations.
You will meet the four pillars of the ANP role through involvement in guideline creation, teaching, simulation and audit/research.
