ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a unique and exciting opportunity to join this rapid growing business as the Account Manager - a key role. The main responsibility of an Account Manager is to maintain and grow revenue through product development and brand development, whilst nurturing relationships with existing and new clients. The primary objective is to independently generate and convert revenue to hit sales targets and business revenue projections. This will be done by working within the customer base using high-level commercial awareness and management skills to maintain and grow current accounts whilst exploring and onboarding clients sat outside of the current client base. You will also be expected to bring new clients to the business using your commercial awareness, retail experience, product specialist skills and deep understanding of the market. You will be reporting to the Commercial Manager whilst working cross-functionally internally to ensure sales are converted with the support of all the relevant teams; offering suitable products, solutions and excellent relationship management from the beginning to end of each project.

Responsibilities

* Client Relationship Management - build and maintain strong relationships with assigned clients

* Business Development - identifying potential opportunities/target customers and manage through to delivery

* Revenue Generation and Planning - meet/exceed targets and developing strategic account plans.

* Financial Analysis and Budgeting - order book vs budgets, identifying new opportunities

* Problem Solving - finding appropriate solutions by working cross-functionally

* Market Research - industry trends, competitors, market conditions

* Client Communication - conduct regular meetings, presentations and calls with clients to understand their evolving needs

* Travel - you will be required to travel in line with business requirements

ABOUT THE CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate will have existing experience as an Account Manager working for a retail supplier, and naturally as a result of this come with their own retail contacts. The Account Manager will need to demonstrate a proven track record in turnover generation through product development and strong relationship management.

SALARY

Circa £35,000 DOE
