Overview
As a Residential Services Manager, you will play a crucial part in supporting children and young people with complex needs, providing a nurturing environment that aids their recovery and prepares them for the next steps in their lives.
Responsibilities
* Build trust and develop nurturing relationships to promote the service user’s independence, wellbeing, strengths, and capabilities.
* Work in partnership and build relationships with parents/carers and other professionals.
* Lead shifts and conduct staff supervisions.
* Support the Registered Manager with audits and other duties as required.
* Contribute to the upkeep of the home, including cooking and cleaning.
* Document information accurately and ensure records are kept up to date.
Qualifications
* Hold a Level 3 qualification relevant to Residential Childcare.
* Be willing to work towards the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care and Children & Young People’s services.
* Have at least 1 year of supervisory and shift leader experience in a Children’s Residential setting.
* Possess knowledge and experience of working with OFSTED Regulations and Quality Standards of Children’s homes, with the ability to support the manager to achieve an outstanding rating.
* Have knowledge and experience of recording and reporting to enable safeguarding and protection of children and young people.
* Demonstrate a commitment to promoting, monitoring, and maintaining a safe environment at all times.
