Join us in the Acute Care Division as Lead Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) for Urgent and Emergency Care at MYTT, where your expertise and sound clinical leadership will directly influence patient outcomes, staff development, and service innovation.
The post holder will be expected to provide visible leadership to our ACP teams across all three sites: Pinderfields Emergency Department, Dewsbury Emergency Department, and Pontefract Urgent Treatment Centre.
Main duties of the job
As the Lead ACP, you will be a clinical and strategic leader within our Urgent and Emergency Care services. Working at the forefront of patient care, you will:
* Professionally lead the ACPs and Trainee ACPs in emergency and urgent care, supporting their personal development and guiding their roles within their specialties.
* Provide full line-management responsibilities including induction, appraisal, workforce development, managing sickness and absence, disciplinary and performance issues.
* Lead and support organisational change and strategy to ensure efficient service delivery, productivity, and compliance with national targets.
* Contribute to workforce planning, business plans, and supporting budgets for ACP/advanced practice roles.
* Implement and standardise advanced roles within urgent and emergency care, aligned with strategic plans.
* Motivate, inspire, and develop the ACP workforce to achieve excellence and maximise potential.
* Develop governance systems to support professional accountability and assurance within the team.

Job responsibilities
Key requirements
* Current registration with a professional body (NMC or HCPC)
* Evidence of working towards RCEM credentialing
* Willingness to maintain RCEM e-portfolio and professional memberships
* MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice
* Registered Independent Non-Medical Prescriber
* Recognised leadership and teaching qualifications or experience
* Significant experience as a qualified ACP in an acute setting
* Management, leadership, research, and development experience
* Evidence of ongoing professional development post-MSc
