The Role
As Chef Manager at IBS Brecon, you will take full ownership of the catering operation, combining strong operational leadership with a hands‑on approach in the kitchen. This is an active role where you will lead from the front, supporting food production and service while ensuring efficient, compliant day‑to‑day operations.
This position offers a strong work‑life balance, with a predominantly Monday to Friday schedule. Flexibility is required to support events and functions, including occasional weekends, with overtime paid for hours worked beyond 40 per week.
Key Responsibilities
* Leading, motivating, and developing your team to deliver excellent food and customer service
* Taking a hands‑on role in a busy kitchen, supporting production and service as required
* Managing budgets, stock control, ordering, and operational planning
* Monitoring stock levels and coordinating orders across service points
* Completing weekly and monthly accounts accurately and on time
* Conducting internal audits and ensuring full compliance with company policies and legislation
* Reviewing KPIs with senior management and driving continuous improvement
* Maintaining the highest standards of food hygiene and Health & Safety
* Using strong organisational and time management skills to ensure smooth daily operations
